One
of the problems with shooting timelapses in a ski area is that
when you sit in the snow on a ski run for long periods of time,
people tend to think that you're either injured or smoking pot.
Either way, they're apt to take an interest in you and stop to
ask questions. After the tenth person or so, this starts to make
me feel a bit self-conscious. When I was filming this timelapse
of East Castle, people kept stopping to see if they could help
and I kept sneaking farther and farther under the rope so people
wouldn't keep stopping. The whole thing was pretty amusing.
I
filmed this timelapse from Cecret Saddle in late April, 2004 from
just below the gun tower.
